NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Tuesday 1/18/22

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing in one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup.

Cory Joseph, PG, Detroit Pistons ($4,400)

If Cory Joseph is going to see 25 minutes a game, he will continue to be a solid value play.

Joseph comes off the bench for the Detroit Pistons and plays a good amount of his minutes when Cade Cunningham is on the bench. Along with their other injuries, we see Joseph producing 0.93 FanDuel points per minute with an 18.0% offensive usage rate.

That's solid production for a role player and it should allow Joseph to reach fantasy value in a matchup against the Golden State Warriors where both teams are in the top 12 of the league in offensive pace. While the game has a large 15.0-point spread in favor of the Warriors, it has a solid 218.0-point over/under.

numberFire's projections have Joseph going for 26.73 minutes and 25.8 FanDuel points, making him the top overall value option on a small two-game slate.

Mitchell Robinson, C, New York Knicks ($5,400)

The New York Knicks have a solid matchup tonight, and Mitchell Robinson is in a prime spot to produce.

A small two-game slate changes what we think of value, but Robinson could be at the top of the list on any given slate due to his upside. That upside could be shown tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves; the over/under is set at 213.5 points and comes with a close 3.5-point spread.

This is a MASSIVE pace-up spot for the Knicks (30th) since the Timberwolves (4th) are playing very fast this season. On top of playing very fast, the Timberwolves don't play a ton of defense and are currently allowing the seventh-most (56.17) FanDuel points per game to opposing centers.

All of this gives Robinson a projection of 28.08 minutes and 25.3 FanDuel points, making him the top value option amongst centers tonight.
