NBA Player Prop Bets to Target on Tuesday 5/3/22

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways, from taking advantage of them straight up within the betting market to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy basketball.

Here we'll focus on utilizing our projections and a slew of other tools to help make money betting player props. For this article, we are using the odds provided at NBA Finals odds to pinpoint spots where value can be had tonight.

The prop-betting experience on FanDuel Sportsbook is getting even more fun. You can track your player props with real-time updates and place in-game props with ease.

Please note that betting lines and our player projections may change throughout the day after this article is published.

Jayson Tatum Over 6.5 Rebounds (-114)

Jayson Tatum hasn't been very active on the glass in the postseason. In fact, he's gone under 6.5 boards in all five of the Boston Celtics' playoff games this year.

I think he bounces back in the rebound department in Game 2.

For the regular season, Tatum snagged 8.0 rebounds per night, and the Milwaukee Bucks permitted the seventh-most rebounds per game to power forwards (10.9). In three regular-season games versus Milwaukee, Tatum averaged 8.3 boards per contest while going over 6.5 rebounds in two of the games.

Our model projects Tatum for 8.0 rebounds, creating nice value on this prop.

Stephen Curry Over 4.5 Made Threes (+138)

Five made threes is a lot -- even for Stephen Curry. But he can get there tonight.

Curry has hit exactly five three-balls in each of his last two games, and he has made five-plus treys in half of his six postseason games in these playoffs despite playing limited minutes in his first three games back from injury. He's taken at least 11 shots from deep in three straight outings.

In the regular season, the Memphis Grizzlies allowed the ninth-most three-point tries per game (8.8) to point guards, and the Golden State Warriors got plenty of looks from three in Game 1, taking 38 three-point attempts.

Our projections have Curry hitting 4.8 threes tonight on 11.9 attempts. With the over priced at +138 and a -175 number on the under, the over is the side that makes more sense.
