5 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Wednesday 1/25/23

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays.

If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at some players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup on FanDuel tonight, using numberFire's daily fantasy basketball projections as a guide.

Xavier Tillman, PF/C, Memphis Grizzlies

FanDuel Salary: $4,600

With Steven Adams out for multiple weeks, the value spotlight will shine on Xavier Tillman pretty often. Tonight is one of those nights.

Tillman is coming off of a 29.9-minute start on Monday, a game that led to a pretty robust stat line: 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block for 27.2 FanDuel points.

Tillman is projected for 26.4 minutes in a game with a total of just under 245.0 points tonight and is expected to score 25.4 FanDuel points, thus making him one of the best value plays of the night.

Daniel Gafford, C, Washington Wizards
Deni Avdija, SF/PF, Washington Wizards

Gafford's FanDuel Salary: $5,800
Avdija's FanDuel Salary: $5,000

Kristaps Porzingis is week-to-week, and Rui Hachimura was traded. That'll keep some Washington Wizards viable in DFS for sure.

Last night without him, the Wizards gave Deni Avdija 32.1 minutes. Daniel Gafford started and played 18.7 minutes after he picked up two quick fouls and ultimately racked up six of them.

Gafford is expected to bounce back with 26.5 minutes and 30.4 FanDuel points against the Houston Rockets, a bottom-tier defense. Against bottom-10 defenses, Gafford averages 1.19 FanDuel points per minute.

That mark for Avdija is 0.84 per minute, and he's projected for heavy minutes (32.4), which should tally up to a strong value game.

Kenyon Martin Jr., SF/PF, Houston Rockets

FanDuel Salary: $5,300

On the opposite side of that game, we can go to Kenyon Martin Jr. again.

KJ is projected for 32.8 minutes and 28.3 FanDuel points, good for 5.33 projected FanDuel points per $1,000.

In starts, Martin Jr. has averaged 31.2 minutes and a line of 9.9 field goal attempts, 13.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 0.9 combined steals and blocks for 24.7 FanDuel points.

Jeremy Sochan, SF/PF, San Antonio Spurs

FanDuel Salary: $5,100

By defense-versus-position matchup, Jeremy Sochan has one of the best situations of the night against the Los Angeles Lakers.

He's a staple in the starting lineup for the San Antonio Spurs, and in his starts, he's averaged 26.3 minutes and 0.81 FanDuel points per minute.

Against bottom-10 defenses, that per-minute FanDuel output jumps up to 0.92. With a great matchup and a 244.0-point total, this is a pretty stellar game environment for Sochan.
