3 NBA FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Friday 1/27/23

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays.

If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you need to consider squeezing one of these lower-salaried options into your lineup.

Let's take a look at some players who can help fill in the gaps in your lineup on FanDuel tonight, using numberFire's daily fantasy basketball projections as a guide.

Brandon Clarke, PF/C, Memphis Grizzlies

FanDuel Salary: $5,600

Brandon Clarke sets up well for fantasy points tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are still without Karl-Anthony Towns and who list Rudy Gobert as questionable.

The Memphis Grizzlies are missing Steven Adams for multiple weeks yet, and a few other frontcourt pieces are out, as well.

Clarke played 32.0 minutes last game in a starting bid and returned 19 points and 8 rebounds to pair with 2 assists and a steal.

Overall on the season, Clarke has averaged a robust 1.10 FanDuel points per minute. He's projected for 28.1 minutes tonight -- and 30.9 FanDuel points.

Kenrich Williams, SF, Oklahoma City Thunder

FanDuel Salary: $5,000

Kenrich Williams has played at least 25.0 minutes in three straight games, and over his past four games, he has FanDuel point totals of 41.0, 13.7, 27.2, and 26.9.

He's projected for 38.1 minutes and 24.6 FanDuel points against a tough Cleveland Cavaliers defense.

Williams started two of the past four games, including his most recent matchup. In starts, he has averaged 0.96 FanDuel points per minute.

Especially if he starts, Williams is a great value -- but even in non-starts over the team's past 10 games (so seven games here for Williams), he's averaged 23.3 minutes.

Caleb Martin, SF/SG, Miami Heat

FanDuel Salary: $4,300

If we want access to Giannis Antetokounmpo, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Ja Morant, and/or Stephen Curry in our core, we'll need to dip pretty low in some spots. True low-end value doesn't really exist, but we can roster Caleb Martin at just $4,300.

Martin has had two days of rest to heal up his quad issue, and he has started every game he has been active for.

That's led to 30.9 minutes per game with a value-esque fantasy output of 21.0 FanDuel points per game (0.69 per minute).

Martin and the Heat are up against the Orlando Magic, who are 23rd in defensive rating, which sure won't hurt.

Martin is easily the best minutes value (projected minute per $1,000) of the night, too.
