Philadelphia 76ers acquire Jimmy Butler in five player trade with Timberwolves
The Philadelphia 76ers acquired Jimmy Butler and Justin Patton from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Robert Covington, Dario Saric, Jerryd Bayless, and a 2022 second-round pick.
After two months of trade speculation, Butler was finally granted his request to move on and will join Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons in Philadelphia. Using his time at Minnesota as a sample size, Butler has shown an ability to produce even with other high usage players on the floor so expect the newly acquired 76er to continue putting up his usual numbers.
In 10 games this season, Butler produced an average of 42.5 FanDuel points per game. His yearly production also includes per game averages of 21.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.3 assists.
