Rockets' Eric Gordon (knee surgery) reportedly facing up to 6-week absence
Houston Rockets shooting guard Eric Gordon may need knee surgery that would sideline him up to 6 weeks, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The Rockets are gathering more information Tuesday before making a final decision, but Gordon would be looking at a 4-6 week timeline if he does go under the knife. He's currently on pace for what would easily be the worst year of the veteran's career, so the injury may explain Gordon's poor play. Danuel House (bruised back) is doubtful for Wednesday's game versus the Los Angeles Clippers, potentially leaving the Rockets a bit shorthanded in the backcourt. Ben McLemore will likely make the start, with Austin Rivers and Chris Clemons seeing extended minutes off the bench.
Gordon is averaging 10.9 points and 2.3 3-pointers on 30.9 percent shooting from the floor and 28.4 percent shooting from distance.
