Kyrie Irving (shoulder) needs to practice for Nets before playing
Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving (shoulder) will likely need to practice before returning to game action, head coach Kenny Atkinson said.
What It Means:
"We have a protocol before a guy comes back to play," Atkinson explained. "Usually we’re not just going to throw you out there without seeing you." He added that Irving isn't expected to practice on Thursday, so it looks like the offseason acquisition will miss a fourth consecutive game on Friday. Spencer Dinwiddie has been starting in place of Irving.
Kyrie is averaging 48.3 FanDuel points in 11 games this season. numberFire's models project him for 26.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.1 steals, and 2.8 3-pointers per game over the rest of the season.
