Hornets' P.J. Washington (finger surgery) out indefinitely
Charlotte Hornets power forward P.J. Washington is out indefinitely after undergoing finger surgery on Monday.
The Hornets didn't provide a timeline. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported Washington was expected to miss five games, but that was before he underwent surgery. Washington has already missed the past two and seems highly unlikely to play on Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Marvin Williams, Malik Monk, Cody Martin, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist should continue to benefit while Washington is sidelined.
The Hornets have an implied total of 104.75 points on Wednesday, third-lowest on the nine-game slate.
