Marc Gasol (hamstring) nearing return for Raptors
Coach Nick Nurse said that Toronto Raptors center Marc Gasol (left hamstring) is close to a return, per comments from head coach Nick Nurse.
Nurse said returning for Sunday's game against the San Antonio Spurs "probably a bit too ambitious," but that he "should be back soon after." Gasol was expected to miss "a period of weeks" after initially injuring his hamstring on December 18. Pascal Siakam (groin) is also nearing a return.
Gasol was averaging 6.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 0.8 steals, 1.1 blocks, 1.1 3-pointers, and 24.2 FanDuel points per game before the injury.
