Malik Beasley reportedly going to Timberwolves in 12-player deal
The Minnesota Timberwolves are acquiring guard Malik Beasley in a four-team, 12-player trade, reports ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Timberwolves sent Robert Covington to the Houston Rockets as part of the trade, so Beasley has a potential chance at a starting job with his new team. Juancho Hernangomez, Evan Turner, and Jarred Vanderbilt are also heading to Minnesota in the multi-team deal. In addition to Covington, the Rockets are acquiring Jordan Bell and a second-round pick. Clint Capela and Nene are going to the Atlanta Hawks. The Denver Nuggets are receiving a package consisting of Gerald Green, Noah Vonleh, Keita Bates-Diop, Shabazz Napier, and a first-round pick.
Beasley averaged 15.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.7 steals, and 3.0 triples as a fill-in starter for the Nuggets last season.
