Thunder's Danilo Gallinari reportedly working on extension with Heat
Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Danilo Gallinari is reportedly working on a contract extension with the Miami Heat in order to help finalize a three-team deal, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Gallinari is scheduled to become a free agent this summer, so the Heat are trying to ensure that he'll be around for more than half a season. The difficulty is that, per Woj, Pat Riley and company also want to keep their cap space open for 2021. Gallinari figures to lose value in Miami while also taking minutes from Meyers Leonard and Kelly Olynyk. It's not clear who the Heat would be giving up in the trade.
Gallo is averaging 30.2 FanDuel points per game. He scored 15 points (5-of-11 field goals, 3-of-4 free throws) with 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 2 3-pointers on Wednesday, finishing with 24.5 FanDuel points.
