The Minnesota Timberwolves are acquiring point guard D'Angelo Russell from the Golden State Warriors, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Timberwolves are getting Russell, Jacob Evans, and Omari Spellman from the Warriors for Andrew Wiggins, a 2021 protected first-round pick, and a 2022 second-round pick. Russell will take over as the starting point guard in Minnesota while joining Karl-Anthony Towns as the focal point of the offense.
