Gordon Hayward (knee) unlikely for Celtics' second leg
Boston Celtics guard/forward Gordon Hayward isn't expected to play on Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Hayward said he got his knee rolled up towards the end of the first half of Tuesday's loss to the Brooklyn Nets. He exited and never returned. Hayward will likely sit out Wednesday, but it sounds like a day-to-day issue. Kemba Walker (knee, rest) and Jayson Tatum (illness) are also unavailable Wednesday and Jaylen Brown (hamstring) and Marcus Smart (possible suspension) are uncertain, so the Celtics may be without four starters and their sixth man in Cleveland. That could lead to big minutes for Grant Williams, Javonte Green, Brad Wanamaker, and Carsen Edwards. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET.
Per numberFire's NBA Heat Map, the Celtics-Cavaliers game has the second-lowest over/under (216.5 points) on Wednesday's nine-game slate.
