Norman Powell leads Raptors past Warriors with career-high 37 points
Toronto Raptors shooting guard Norman Powell scored 37 points (13-of-20 field goals, 7-of-7 free throws) with 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 4 3-pointers, and 3 turnovers in 38.1 minutes of a 121-113 win over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.
The points set a new career-high for Powell as he continues to tear it up since returning from injury. Over the last four, he's averaging 27.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.8 3-pointers on a 53.5 field goal percentage. Fred VanVleet's (shoulder) absence has led to additional opportunities for Powell. The Raptors will visit the Sacramento Kings on Sunday in the front leg of a back-to-back.
Powell scored 49.6 FanDuel points on Thursday, his second-highest total of the season. numberFire's models project him for 11.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals, and 2.7 triples per game over the rest of the season.
