76ers' Ben Simmons (back) "ready to go" when play resumes later this month
Philadelphia 76ers forward Ben Simmons will be "ready to go" when the season resumes in Orlando later this month, according to 76ers' coach Brett Brown.
What It Means:
Simmons was dealing with a lower back injury prior to the shutdown but has been able to use the time off to recover and is expected to be at full strength when the season resumes. He should return to his usual full-time role with the 76ers' starting unit, a role that led to him averaging 16.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 43 FanDuel points per game before the shutdown. Simmons' first game back will be against the Indiana Pacers on August 1st.
numberFire's models project Simmons for 15.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 41.7 FanDuel points against the Pacers. Simmons is averaging 35.7 minutes per game this season, tenth most in the NBA.
