Rajon Rondo fractures thumb at Lakers practice, out 6-8 weeks
Los Angeles Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo fractured his right thumb at Sunday's practice.
Rondo will undergo surgery and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks. Avery Bradley previously opted out, so look for Alex Caruso to log extended minutes. Dion Waiters, J.R. Smith, and Quinn Cook should also take on more work.
Caruso has a 14.0 percent usage rate and averages 0.8 FanDuel points per minute when Rondo and Bradley aren't playing. Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Lakers have the second-best odds (+260) to win the NBA Championship.
