Russell Westbrook expected with Rockets by mid-week
Houston Rockets point guard Russell Westbrook is expected to join the team by mid-week, per head coach Mike D'Antoni.
D'Antoni says that Westbrook, James Harden, and Luc Mbah a Moute have been working out "at their home bases." There's no concern about their availability when the Rockets return to action on July 31 against the Dallas Mavericks. Westbrook was shooting 53.4 percent from the floor and 40.0 percent from beyond the arc after the All-Star break. Prior to the break, he was only shooting 46.3 percent on field goals and 23.8 percent on 3-pointers.
numberFire's models expect Westbrook to score 48.1 FanDuel points against the Mavericks. Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Rockets have the fourth-best odds (+1300) to win the NBA Championship.
