Boston Celtics reportedly sign Tristan Thompson
The Boston Celtics have signed big man Tristan Thompson to a 2-year contract, according to Joe Vardon of The Athletic.
Thompson had spent the entirety of his 9-year career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but as a free agent, he'll be heading to the East Coast. Enes Kanter was just traded to the Portland Trail Blazers, leaving an opening in the frontcourt. Thompson will be competing with Robert Williams and Daniel Theis down low, though the latter is expected to miss a bit of time after getting offseason surgery.
In 57 games last season, Thompson averaged 12.0 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest.
