Timberwolves' D'Angelo Russell (leg) will also sit Sunday
Minnesota Timberwolves point guard D'Angelo Russell (left leg soreness) will also miss Sunday's game versus the Toronto Raptors.
Russell, who has already been ruled out for Friday's game versus the Charlotte Hornets, did not even join the Timberwolves on their current two-game road trip. His next chance to play will be back at home next Tuesday versus the Los Angeles Lakers. Ricky Rubio will likely remain in the starting lineup while Russell is out. Jaylen Nowell and Jordan McLaughlin also stand to benefit without Russell.
numberFire’s models project Rubio for 26.3 FanDuel points versus the Hornets and he has a salary of $5,400 on Friday’s 11-game slate. The Hornets are No. 17 in the NBA in FanDuel points allowed per game to the point guard position.
