Luka Doncic (back) downgraded to doubtful for Mavericks Wednesday
Dallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic (back) is now doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Doncic has been downgraded from questionable and is now expected to sit out Dallas' last game before the All-Star break. Jalen Brunson and Trey Burke are candidates to replace Doncic in the starting lineup and they should both see larger roles Wednesday. Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr. should also be more involved on offense without Doncic leading the way.
THJ leads the Mavericks with a 5.6 percent usage increase when Doncic isn't on the court this season while Porzingis' increases 4.3 to a team-high 32.3 percent. Brunson's assist rate jumps up by 12.0 percent without Doncic while Burke's rises 9.6 percent.
