Blake Griffin agrees to deal with Nets
Former Detroit Pistons forward/center Blake Griffin has agreed to a deal with the Brooklyn Nets for the rest of the 2021 season, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
As expected, Griffin has officially signed with the Nets on a deal that ties him to Brooklyn for the rest of the 2021 season. The Nets see him fitting in as a small-ball center option off the bench. His arrival could mean fewer minutes for Jeff Green and Nicolas Claxton. In 20 games this season, Griffin has averaged 12.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 24.0 FanDuel points.
The Nets (+300) have the second-best odds to win the 2021 NBA Championship, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, behind only the Los Angeles Lakers (+280).
