Thunder acquire JaMychal Green from Nuggets via trade
The Denver Nuggets have traded forward JaMychal Green to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Nuggets are sending Green and a protected 2027 first-round pick to the Thunder, and will receive the 30th overall pick in this year's draft as well as second-round picks in 2023 and 2024. The move helps clear cap space for the Nuggets, who will now have the 21st and 30th overall picks in the 2022 draft, for the upcoming season.
Green made 13 starts in his 125 games with the Nuggets over the past two seasons. The 31-year-old averaged 14.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per 36 minutes with Denver and could be stepping into a starting role with the Thunder for the 2022-23 season.
