Timetable for Hassan Whiteside still unclear for Heat

Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said that he doesn't know if center Hassan Whiteside (knee) has any mobility basketball-wise.

What It Means:

Whiteside didn't even travel with the team to Toronto for Game 5 in order to receive rest and treatment in Miami, but given that he's dealing with an MCL sprain, it would be surprising to see him return at any point during Miami's second-round series. Amar'e Stoudemire will be in the starting lineup sans Whiteside, with Josh McRoberts and Udonis Haslem picking up some extended minutes. Luol Deng should also see his playing time north of 40, while Goran Dragic will be asked to do more on offense.

Losing Whiteside is a major blow, as he owned the 9th best nERD during the regular season at 12.4. He's averaged 12.7 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks per game in the playoffs, prior to leaving Saturday's game with the injury.
