Deandre Ayton (illness) ready to play Thursday for Suns
Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton (illness) said he will play Thursday versus the Dallas Mavericks.
"I'm back," Ayton told reporters on Thursday morning. The Suns listed Ayton as probable on Wednesday's injury report, but it's nice to hear the big man confirm he will return from a three-game absence. Bismack Biyombo is expected to move back to the bench and Jock Landale will have fewer minutes available.
numberFire's models project Ayton for 31.8 minutes and 37.9 FanDuel points on Thursday, and he has a $7,500 salary on the six-game slate. The Mavs are allowing the third-fewest FanDuel points per game to the center position, but Ayton averaged 37.1 FanDuel points in two previous matchups this season, with 19.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per contest.
