Jusuf Nurkic (calf) sidelined for Trail Blazers through All-Star break
Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic underwent an MRI on Thursday that revealed a left calf strain.
Nurkic, who suffered the injury on Wednesday versus the Memphis Grizzlies, is expected to return after the All-Star break. Drew Eubanks is the favorite to replace Nurkic in the starting lineup and there will be more work for Jerami Grant (concussion, questionable) in the frontcourt. Trendon Watford also stands to benefit while Nurkic is inactive.
Grant is averaging 44.8 FanDuel points without Nurkic this season and 31.9 when they are both active, leading the Blazers with a plus-12.9 point differential. Eubanks is second on the squad at plus-7.0 FanDuel points per game (23.4) when Nurkic is inactive.
