Kyrie Irving requests trade from Nets
Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving has requested a trade, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.
Irving informed the Nets he will leave for free agency in July if they don't trade him ahead of the February 9 deadline. He's coming off his best month of the season and just earned another All-Star starting bid, but Irving's expiring contract and unpredictable off-court behavior could complicate potential trade offers. The Nets' next game is on Saturday versus the Washington Wizards.
Kyrie averaged 29.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 1.7 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 3.8 3-pointers over 13 games in January, yielding 51.1 FanDuel points per contest. numberFire's models project Kyrie for 30.9 minutes and 38.4 FanDuel points on Saturday against the Wiz.
