Rockets sign guard Fred VanVleet to 3-year deal
Former Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet signed a three-year contract with the Houston Rockets on Friday, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
VanVleet, who spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Raptors, signed a three-year contract with the Rockets worth $130 million. The 29-year-old, who was undrafted coming out of college, will join a Rockets team looking to take the next step under new head coach Ime Udoka. VanVleet started 69 games for Toronto during the 2022-23 season.
VanVleet averaged 36.7 minutes, 19.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 40.2 FanDuel points per game this season.
