Samuel Dalembert signs with Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks have signed Samuel Dalembert to a one-year deal.
Dalembert posted a subpar -1.6 nERD with the Knicks last season while averaging 4.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. He will likely serve as Zaza Pachulia's backup at center.
Dalembert will look to help the Mavericks on the defensive end, as they ranked 19th in Defensive Efficiency last season, according to our algorithms. He previously showed success with the Mavericks during the 2013-2014 season when he ranked second on the team with 2.1 Defensive Win Shares and ranked fourth with a 16.8 Player Efficiency Rating.
