Josh McRoberts (knee) out for Mavericks' season opener
Dallas Mavericks forward/center Josh McRoberts will sit out the team's regular season opener, reports Mavs.com's Earl K. Sneed.
McRoberts is dealing with a knee injury to start the season and there is no timetable for his return to play at this time. His absence won't have a huge effect on on the Mavericks power forward rotation of Dirk Nowitzki, Dwight Powell and Harrison Barnes.
With the Mavericks hosting the Atlanta Hawks, they will take an implied total of just 101.5 points into tonight's matchup. They're also favored by 5.5 points in the contest.
