Nikola Mirotic

Nikola Mirotic reportedly traded to Pelicans for Omer Asik in exchange with Bulls

Chicago Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic will reportedly be traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for forward/center Omer Asik and a first-round draft pick, according to Vincent Goodwill of NBC Sports Chicago.

What It Means:

The Bulls have been trying to move Mirotic by the trade deadline and it sounds like they may have finally found a suitor. This would be a boost for Mirotic's fantasy value moving forward as he would likely join Anthony Davis as a starter in the Pelicans' frontcourt. Lauri Markkanen and Bobby Portis would also benefit from the additional minutes in Chicago's rotation.

Mirotic is averaging 28.9 FanDuel points in 25 games (three starts) this season. Without accounting for a potential trade, numberFire's models project him to record 17.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.9 3-pointers, and 0.6 blocks per game over the remainder of the year.
