Wizards sign veteran guard Ty Lawson
The Washington Wizards have signed point guard Ty Lawson, according to Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania.
Lawson was playing in China, but his season is now over, so he'll join the Wizards in pursuit of an unlikely championship ring. He shouldn't be expected to play a big role with Tomas Satoransky excelling in his time as the team's backup point guard.
Last season, Lawson averaged 9.9 points, 4.8 assists and 25.1 minutes in 69 games with the Sacramento Kings.
