Which defenses are best in this year's big dance?

Three days ago, I took a look at eigh players who could impact the NCAA Tournament on defense.

Last month, I broke down the top-10 defenses in college basketball.

Now, I'm going to tell you who the five best defenses are in this year's big dance.

You're probably thinking, "Wow, he must really love defense." But you'd be wrong. I'm actually not a big defense fan. I just really, really respect it.

This year, as much as any in recent years, has been a season of defensive dominance in college basketball, and therefore demands even more respect. There are a handful of elite defenses around the country, and there's an obvious correlation between those defensive teams and winning.

Five of those teams are in the NCAA tournament fighting for a national title.
