Florida Gulf Coast's Demetris Morant cleans up on Tuesday
Florida Gulf Coast Eagles senior forward Demetris Morant cleaned up with 17 rebounds and 11 points in a loss to the Georgia Southern Eagles on Tuesday.
What It Means:
The double-double for Morant was his first of the year and only the third of his career. Tuesday's performance off the glass came out of nowhere as the 17 rebounds were not only a career-high but also the first time the senior has reached double-digit boards this season. Morant entered the game averaging only 5.7 rebounds per game in 10 games
Despite the career performance from Morant, FGCU fell to 7-4 on the season and ranks 87th in the nation with a 5.85 nERD rating.
