Donovan Mitchell leaving Louisville for the NBA
Louisville Cardinals sophomore guard Donovan Mitchell will remain in the 2017 NBA Draft and intends to hire an agent, ending his college career, per Jeff Goodman, ESPN.
Mitchell had a breakout season in 2016-17 as he started 33 games for the Louisville Cardinals. He is projected to be a top-20 pick in the upcoming draft as he can play either backcourt position but figures to play more off the ball in the NBA.
Mitchell averaged 15.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.4 three-pointers per game his sophomore season.
