Week 11 NFL FanDuel Salary Movers

Latavius Murray enjoyed lead-back duties while Alvin Kamara was out but now his price takes a tumble.

Things can change quickly in fantasy football. To quote Ferris Bueller -- "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

We're here to "look around" and make sure we don't miss any week-to-week salary changes that could pay dividends on FanDuel.

Perhaps a player had an outlier performance and saw their salary rise too high, making them a sub-optimal play. Or, maybe a player saw an increase in their role but played on Monday night after salaries for the following week's slate already came out, and therefore they haven't been priced accordingly.

This week's article will take a look at which players' salaries have changed the most from Week 10 to Week 11.

Now that you're ready, let's get to it!

Quarterback

Jeff Driskel, Detroit Lions

Week 10 Salary: $6,000
Week 11 Salary: $6,700

Jeff Driskel began the 2019 season with the Cincinnati Bengals but was overtaken on the depth chart by rookie Ryan Finley. A hamstring injury landed him on injured reserve and he was later waived with an injury settlement in September. He signed with the Detroit Lions a few days later to back up Matthew Stafford. Stafford's back injury prevented him from playing against the Chicago Bears, opening some salary relief for those brave enough to use Driskel as he was priced at the quarterback minimum. It wasn't pretty, but Driskel easily paid off his salary, completing 27 of 46 passes for 269 yards and a touchdown. He added another 37 yards on the ground for 18.56 FanDuel points in the 20-13 loss.

On Monday, head coach Matt Patricia said Stafford is "truly day by day, week by week." Take from that what you will but it seems Driskel has a chance to start at least one more game, this time out of the division against the Dallas Cowboys. Driskel's price bump to $6,700 puts him in the same tier as Brandon Allen and Dwayne Haskins. His ability to scramble boosts his floor projection but he was more appealing at the minimum salary. The Lions are currently 3.5 point home underdogs against a Dallas defense that holds opposing quarterbacks to just 12.5 FanDuel points per game.

Other Big Movers:

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs: $8,400 | $8,700
Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: $7,500 | $7,800
Jameis Winston, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: $7,900 | $7,600

Running Back

Latavius Murray, New Orleans Saints

Week 10 Salary: $7,000
Week 11 Salary: $5,600

With Alvin Kamara missing two games due to injury, Latavius Murray took over as the lead back and didn't disappoint. Against the Bears, Murray dropped 29.5 FanDuel points and the following week hit 32.2 at home on the Arizona Cardinals. Murray has made this list already this season due to his increased role and production. However, he's still the biggest mover this week but for the wrong reason. He was limited to just seven touches for 19 yards in a surprising 26-9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Negative game script was almost certainly a factor in his reduced role as the Saints rushed only nine times.

Murray was to remain a big piece of the Saints offense per coach Sean Payton but that failed to materialize. Things don't look too good this week either as the Saints hit the road to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers despite being 5 point favorites. The way to attack the Bucs is through the air, surrendering 0.15 NEP per drop back compared to -0.18 per rush, which is tops in the league. Murray finds his salary back in the value range should Kamara miss some time in the future but for this week he's not even an option in tournaments.

Other Big Movers:

Josh Jacobs, Oakland Raiders: $7,700 | $8,000
Le'Veon Bell, New York Jets: $6,900 | $7,400
Brian Hill, Atlanta Falcons: $5,000 | $5,900

Wide Receiver

Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons

Week 10 Salary: $4,700
Week 11 Salary: $5,300

Russell Gage and not Calvin Ridley seems to be the beneficiary of Mohamed Sanu's vacated targets. Sanu's trade to the New England Patriots has elevated the second-year receiver up Atlanta's depth chart, receiving 14 targets in the last two games. Against the Seattle Seahawks, Gage turned nine targets into seven receptions for 58 yards and 9.3 FanDuel points. His volume was suppressed on Sunday during a surprisingly dominant win in New Orleans, converting five targets into four receptions for just 23 yards.

Since the trade, Gage's 16 percent target share trails only Julio Jones. That role could expand with the news today that tight end Austin Hooper could miss about a month with an MCL sprain. The Falcons face the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte this week with an over/under of 49.5 points. At $5,300, Gage is still affordable but would be a volume-based play as the Falcons are 5.5 point underdogs facing the Panthers, numberFire's third-ranked passing defense. With Ezekiel Elliott and Josh Jacobs in good spots, paying up at running back and finding value at wide receiver is likely the play. If you're in this salary range, I might rather try to hit a big play with either Ted Ginn Jr. or Tre'Quan Smith in a much better match up.

Other Big Movers:

Michael Thomas, New Orleans Saints: $8,700 | $9,000
Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: $8,600 | $8,200
Christian Kirk, Arizona Cardinals: $5,700 | $6,200

Tight End

Ross Dwelley, San Francisco 49ers

Week 10 Salary: $4,000
Week 11 Salary: $4,9
00

Yes, Ross Dwelley sounds like a name you would hear on Friday Night Lights but he could be fantasy relevant for another week. George Kittle suffered a knee injury early in the 49ers Week 9 game against the Cardinals. He did play through the injury but his snaps were limited, allowing Dwelley to pick up some receiving work. He caught all four of his targets for 29 yards. On Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks, Dwelley saw seven targets but caught just three for 24 yards. Now on the main slate, Dwelley could get another shot against the Cardinals, this time as the starter.

Kittle's availability for Sunday is still very much in doubt. If he can't go, Dwelley will be a popular option at his $4,900 salary. Combined with the lack of great matchups at the top of the tight end scale, Dwelley also gets perhaps the best opponent as the Cardinals surrender almost 18 FanDuel points per game to tight ends at a 62.2% success rate.

Other Big Movers:

Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys: $6,000 | $5,600
O.J. Howard, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: $5,000 | $5,300
Nick Boyle, Baltimore Ravens: $4,300 | $4,900
