Super Bowl Futures Betting: Preseason Week 1 Edition
Week 1 of the 2022 NFL preseason is upon us. After the high-intensity thrills of the annual Hall of Fame game last week, all 32 teams are gearing up for some actual football this week (this doesn't mean it's actually "good" football, but it's a start). All 32 teams have their own hopes and aspirations for the season, but only one will walk away at the end of the season as the Super Bowl champions.
This seems as good a time to check in on how the bookies see the Super Bowl odds for each team. Thanks to the excellent folk at the FanDuel Sportsbook, the title-winning odds market is just one of any number of markets you can take advantage of if you are fond of a flutter. Let's see how the odds look right now.

No change at the top of the market, with the Buffalo Bills still the favorites to take home their first Vince Lombardi Trophy just as they were back in May. Likewise, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are right on their tails as the second most favored side.
The biggest positive movers in the last three months are the Los Angeles Chargers and the Baltimore Ravens, with both teams coming in by 200. The Chargers are now sixth-favorites to win it all, while the Ravens are still someway behind in 10th. The biggest fallers among the contenders are the Cleveland Browns. They had odds of +1900 back in May, but you can get them now at +2400. The uncertainty regarding their quarterback situation might have something to do with this fall, I think.
Down at the bottom of the betting, hopes are fading fast for the dim Super Bowl hopes of the Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons, and Houston Texans. Incredibly, a quarterback duel between Geno Smith and Drew Lock has not captured the imagination of the bookmakers, with the Seahawks' odds falling from +10000 to +15000 in the last three months.
The Falcons have also experienced a large drop from their lofty perch as rank outsiders, with the Birds now available at +25000 from +18000 in May. As for the Texans, they had the longest odds of all 32 teams three months ago, when they could be had at +22000. Now, in the early days of August, they still have the longest odds of all 32 teams, with their odds sitting prettily at +30000.
