Vikings to be without Linval Joseph, Anthony Barr and Harrison Smith
Minnesota Vikings nose tackle Linval Joseph (foot), safety Harrison Smith (hamstring) and linebacker Anthony Barr (groin) have all been ruled out for Thursday night's game against the Arizona Cardinals, KFAN in Minnesota reports.
A Vikings' defense which played above its head in the first half of the season has crumbled the last three weeks. They will now be without three of their best players on Thursday night against the Cardinals' top-ranked offense. Joseph is one of the league's premier interior run stuffers. Smith is a difference-making safety. Barr can cover, rush the passer and stop the run.
The Vikings defense ranks 18th in Adjusted Defensive NEP per play this season.
