49ers' Jerick McKinnon (knee) activated from PUP
The San Francisco 49ers activated running back Jerick McKinnon (knee) from the active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list on Tuesday.
San Fran was treating McKinnon cautiously as he recovers from a torn ACL, he suffered last year. The back was expected to be a full go at the start of camp but felt a little soreness in his knee and was given some time off. Now with the all-clear, the McKinnon joins Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida in a crowded backfield for the Niners.
Our models project McKinnon for 395.9 rushing yards, 133.8 receiving yards, and 2.9 touchdowns on 112.5 total touches. He is our preseason RB54.
