Carson Wentz not expected to play in Eagles' preseason opener Thursday
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz is not expected to play in Thursday's preseason opener.
While the Eagles would not confirm Wentz will sit out, head coach Doug Pederson has a history of not playing his starting QBs in Game 1 of the preseason. Add in Wentz coming off a season-ending back injury in December, and it appears to be a sure thing Nate Sudfeld will get the starting nod with Clayton Thorson and Cody Kessler seeing some reps as well Thursday night.
Our models project Wentz as the QB14 in fantasy this season with 4,371.3 passing yards, 30.3 touchdowns, and 12.3 interceptions on 589.8 passing attempts.
