San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jalen Hurd (back) could miss multiple games, per Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle.
What It Means:
Hurd is considered to be doubtful to play Week 1 and "week-to-week" overall by the Niners' coaching staff. While the back tightness has become something more serious; the team does not feel it is a long term issue for the rookie wideout. With Trent Taylor out for Week 1 as well, the Niners will roll with Dante Pettis, Marquise Goodwin, and Deebo Samuel at the top of the receiving depth chart.
Hurd is projected for 14.6 catches, 169.9 yards, and 1.2 touchdowns on 23.9 targets this season.
