Adrian Peterson named Washington's Week 2 starter
Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson is the starter for Week 2 versus the Dallas Cowboys, head coach Jay Gruden announced Wednesday.
Derrius Guice is dealing with a multi-week knee injury, so Peterson will likely start beyond Week 2. "He's in a good place," Gruden said after the veteran was a healthy scratch for Washington's opener. Chris Thompson will continue to handle passing-down work.
Peterson is the RB25 in numberFire's Week 2 fantasy rankings. Our models project him for 72.2 yards, 0.51 touchdowns, and 10.9 FanDuel points versus the Cowboys. He's priced at $4,800.
