Alshon Jeffery (calf) reportedly sitting Sunday for Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (calf, questionable) is unlikely to play Sunday versus the Detroit Lions, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Jeffery didn't practice all week, so this has been the expectation. He's also expected to miss the Eagles' Week 4 matchup on Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers. DeSean Jackson (abdomen) is also out, opening up more snaps for rookie J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Mack Hollins behind Nelson Agholor.
The Eagles' receivers draw a plus matchup in Week 3 against a Lions defense that has given up the 10th-most receiving yards so far this season.
