Colts monitoring Marlon Mack's ankle for Week 5

Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack's ankle will be monitored at practice this week.

What It Means:

Mack left in the fourth quarter on Sunday with an ankle injury and didn't return. Head coach Frank Reich said Mack wasn't medically ruled out and that he stayed on the sidelines because the offense was in no-huddle mode, which tends to feature Nyheim Hines instead. The positive is Mack doesn't appear to be dealing with a major injury, but it suggests he may be game-script dependent moving forward. The Colts are currently 11.0-point road dogs against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5.

The Colts' Week 5 opponent is allowing an NFL-high 5.9 yards per carry. Their 149.8 rushing yards allowed per game is second-most.
