49ers' tackle Joe Staley targeting Week 8-9 return
San Francisco 49ers left tackle Joe Staley (leg) is targeting a Week 8 or 9 return, head coach Kyle Shanahan said.
Staley remains on track for the 6-8 week timeline he was given in Week 2 after fracturing his fibula. His return will be a boost for an offense that already has the second-best rushing attack in the NFL (179.8 yards per game). Sixth-round pick Justin Skule has been filling in for Staley.
The 49ers are 2nd in numberFire's NFL Team Power Rankings.
