Emmanuel Sanders (knee) trending toward playing for Broncos Thursday
Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (knee) is generating optimism about his status for Thursday night's Week 7 game against the Kansas City Chiefs, per James Palmer of NFL Network.
"There's been optimism he plays Thursday," Palmer tweeted. Sanders exited Sunday's Week 6 win over the Tennessee Titans with a knee injury and didn't return, but he's practicing on a limited basis this week, putting him on track to play. The Broncos' offense doesn't offer much upside, but Sanders does get a plus matchup against the Chiefs.
The Chiefs-Broncos matchup features a 49.0-point over/under, fifth-highest on the Week 7 slate.
