David Johnson (ankle) not practicing for Cardinals on Wednesday

Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson missed practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury.

What It Means:

Johnson was limited in practice last week with a back injury but ultimately played on Sunday and was effective, producing 25.2 FanDuel points against the Atlanta Falcons "defense". It's concerning to see a non-related injury keeping Johnson off of the field already as he prepares to face the New York Giants in Week 7. His practice reports will need to be closely monitored for the rest of the week. If Johnson is inactive, Chase Edmonds would likely step into the feature back role for the Cardinals at a price of just $5,500.

Assuming he returns to practice and is ready to go on Sunday, our models project Johnson for 61.5 rushing yards, .57 rushing touchdowns, 5 receptions, 48 receiving yards, and 18.5 FanDuel points against the New York Giants. He is priced at $7,400 and is the RB5 in our weekly rankings.
