49ers acquire Emmanuel Sanders, pick from Broncos for 3rd, 4th
The San Francisco 49ers acquired wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and a 2020 5th-round pick from the Denver Broncos in exchange for 2020 3rd- and 4th-round picks.
Sanders will step in as the number-one receiver in San Francisco and should benefit from no longer having to catch passes from Joe Flacco. Meanwhile, Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton will take over in two-wides for the Broncos. Sanders is in the final year of his contract and turns 33 this offseason.
Sanders caught 30 passes on 44 targets for 367 yards (12.2 per catch) and 2 touchdowns in seven games for the Broncos this season.
