Adrian Peterson (ankle) expected to play for Washington Thursday night
Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson (ankle) is expected to play in Thursday night's Week 8 game against the Minnesota Vikings, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Peterson is reportedly battling a high-ankle sprain, but it's no surprise that the superhuman is expected to be out there Thursday night against the team he spent the first decade of his career with. Washington is a 16.5-point road underdog, so the game script isn't in Peterson's favor. The ankle issue also may keep him from handling a full workload. If Peterson suffers any setbacks, Wendell Smallwood would be in line for an every-down role.
numberFire's models project Peterson for 63.9 yards and 0.26 touchdowns on 15.2 touches versus the Vikings. He's the RB32 in our Week 8 fantasy rankings.
