Raheem Mostert misses 49ers practice with quad issue
San Francisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert (quad) missed Tuesday's practice.
Mostert was listed as limited on Monday's estimate with a knee issue, so the quad problem is new. Matt Breida (ankle) also missed practice and seems to be legitimately questionable for Thursday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. The 49ers are favored by 10.0 points on the road, so Mostert could see a decent workload as Tevin Coleman's backup if he's active. Jeff Wilson is also banged up.
Mostert averaged 81.0 rushing yards on 12.5 attempts in Weeks 2 and 3 as the 49ers' backup running back. The Cardinals are bottom-10 in the NFL in both rushing yards allowed per game and yards allowed per carry.
