Dolphins reportedly ending Xavien Howard's (knee) season
The Miami Dolphins placed defensive back Xavien Howard on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.
What It Means:
Howard returned from a two-game absence for a knee injury on Monday night, and he apparently suffered a new one during the 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The tanking Dolphins aren't going to risk anything with one of the only promising young pieces they have on the roster.
The Dolphins D/ST is 11th in numberFire's Week 9 fantasy rankings. They are 3.0-point underdogs at home against the New York Jets. The game has an over/under of 41.0 points, third-lowest of the week.
